Anna Pugh is an artist based in Nashville, TN. Working primarily as a painter, her work returns continually to themes of unreliable memory and the tenderness of living. A northern childhood was spent in Minnesota before uprooting to live in southern North Carolina and Tennessee. Anna received a B.A. in Studio Art with honors from Wake Forest University, with minors in Art History and Biology. Her work has been displayed in group and solo shows at locations including START Gallery (NC), Open Gallery (TN) and WaveLength Space (TN). Anna currently works as a practicing artist, museum professional, and freelance designer. When she isn’t working, you can find her on the porch identifying moth species and putting lightning bugs in jars.
